EXPERIENCE:

Proficient in digital graphics design and production, experienced with pre-press production, complicated color correction, photo retouch and web graphics production. Familiar with web animation, file and color space conversion.

Experienced in traditional commercial printing production methods, electronic file delivery, and a wide variety of fine art and illustration techniques.

Responsible for color analysis, swatch matching, image adjustment, digital retouching and pre-media color file prep of images used in LL Bean catalogs. Skilled in Photoshop CS3 and familiar with Photo RAW format and color manipulation.

Responsible for all in-house print design and production, including photo retouch, digital color correction,

Original artwork created for exhibit Amazon Voyage, currently on tour. (www.amazonvoyage.org) Six exhibits were produced, in addition to promotional graphics for the show. Worked closely with teams of researchers to ensure accuracy in the illustrations. Delivered digital files on DVD and via FTP.

Designed 11 x 17 four-page color newsletter shells. Created full-color digital file each month for imprinting and national distribution to apartment communities. Designs were produced off-site and proofed using PDF. Digital files delivered by FTP or on disk.

Fine Art and Teaching

In addition to digital graphics, I create relief and intaglio prints as well as original works in many media. I have taught art at the community college level and also worked as an outreach art instructor in remote Native Alaska villages, isolated floating logging camps and Ketchikan public schools.

I have also worked as a designer for William Morrow Company, Publishers, in NYC,
and for an ad agency in New Orleans, working for clients including Hilton Hotels and Tidewater, Inc.
